Un p’tit coin d’paradis... (a little corner of Paradise) Mika
Mika is a young artist from the Vosges.
Mika's painting is spontaneous and naive. He alternates between figurative work (mostly people) and abstract work of brightly-coloured geometric forms. This self-taught artist has forged a style of his own by constantly experimenting in a variety of directions. He prefers to construct his subjects with forms, adding elegant and bright colours that bring immediacy and life to the scenes he paints. Apart from the visual features of his drawing, Mika always strives to take his pictorial techniques further by manipulating materials in a variety of ways and by using plaster and collages to give his paintings relief and texture; at times his sculptural work verges on natural art.
